Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Toppages collects when you visit this site, get in touch, or sign in to the client dashboard, and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you contact us. Your name, email address, the subject if you give one, and your message. Nothing before you press send.

If you are a client. The account details needed to sign you in — name, email address, a hashed password, and, where two-factor authentication is switched on, the secret that verifies your codes. We never store a readable copy of your password.

Automatically. Ordinary server and network logs: the address you connected from, the page you asked for, the time, and what your browser told us about itself. These exist to keep the service running and to spot abuse.

Cookies

We set a session cookie so that forms can be protected against forgery and so that a signed-in client stays signed in. That is the whole of it: no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no analytics that follow you off this site.

How we use it

To answer you, to run and support the service you have asked us for, to keep it secure, and to meet obligations we are under. We do not sell your information, and we do not rent it out for anyone else to market to you.

Who else sees it

Only the suppliers it takes to deliver the service — the company that hosts our servers, the service that sends our email, the network that serves the pages — and each of them only with what that job needs. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as it takes to answer them and for our own records afterwards. Account details are kept while the account exists. Logs are kept for a short period and then rotated away.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will reply. If you are a client, some of this you can do yourself from the dashboard.
